Lecturer: Sociology

To carry out a full range of teaching duties and administration associated with the delivery and management of learning programmes as appropriate.

 Salary: Associate Lecturer Scales 1 – 4, £21,136 - £24,943 per annum, pro rata. Main Grade Scales 1 – UP1, £26,911 - £38,680 per annum, pro rata (for qualified lecturers).

Hours of Work: Band E. Annualised hours: 135.4 – 259.5 (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).

Contract: Flexible Fractional, fixed term until 1 July 2022.

Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (initially based at Neath College to teach at Neath College, Brecon and Pontardawe College).

Qualifications: Ideally you should possess a level 6 qualification (e.g. Degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, have relevant experience and hold a teaching qualification. You should also hold a level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 2. Assessor/Verifier Awards would be advantageous.
