Specific Learning Difficulty Assessor

To carry out diagnostic testing and screening assessments as required to ensure appropriate student support strategies are in place. To provide one to one, group support and exam access arrangements where applicable for Specific Learning Difficulty students.

Salary: Scale 6, Points 29 – 31, £26,696 - £28,508 per annum.

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week (including occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends).

Contract: Full time, permanent.

Location: NPTC Group of Colleges (this is a cross college role which can be based at any of our sites).

Qualifications: Candidates must have a level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline, and/or relevant equivalent experience. Dyslexia/SpLD Assessor Qualification is essential. Candidates must hold a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate to Level 2 (with working knowledge of MS Office). Knowledge of an experience of applying examination access requirements in line with JCQ guidelines and working with young people with ALN, disabilities and complex needs is essential.
