About Us

Little Herons Nursery is located at West Monkton CofE Primary School, where we are growing and developing an outstanding nursery provision by utilising a passion for Early Years practice.

We currently have a new opportunity for a dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join the Little Herons Nursey, part of The Oak Partnership Trust. 

Job overview

You’ll provide leadership and management of the Nursery, effectively managing day-to-day operations whilst ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered by supporting staff with the strategic implementation, planning, and monitoring of Nursery provision and policies.

Job requirements

  • A Highly motivated, experienced, NVQ Level 3 qualified deputy nursery manager with a teaching or Early Years qualification desirable
  • Experience of room management within a nursery or Early Years setting including staff management desirable 
  • Extensive knowledge of EYFS practice, including statutory requirements, safeguarding and SEN inclusion
  • Provide a Stimulating, high quality and innovative early years learning experience for our youngest children.
  • The ability to deliver high quality childcare in a safe and caring environment.
  • Experience in managing or leading a team of nursery staff
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to liaise with parents, other professionals an outside agencies
  • The capability to assist the Nursery Manager and manage the room when they are not present.

Salary: Grade 13, point 6

Hours: 31.75 hours a week, Term time only plus INSET days (39 weeks a year)
