Teaching Assistant
Stoke St Gregory C of E Primary School are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our mainstream setting. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils by supporting their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils 1:1, in small groups, and within whole-class settings.
- Assist learners with SEND and complex needs, including personal care when required.
- Encourage independence and support social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Work under the guidance of the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes and assist with educational visits.
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Good general education (GCSE or equivalent), including Maths.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational setting.
- Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
- Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office).
Desirable:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- Additional relevant qualifications.

- Commitment to training and continuous professional development.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and sense of humour.

Further Details:
Days/ Hours: Term time only, 18.25 hours per week working a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.45-.320pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break.
Initially a fixed term position until 31st August 2026 with the possibility of increase to hours and/or made permanent.
Salary: Grade 15, £10,204.81 per annum
