Our collective determination to make Oakbank a happier and higher-performing school affirms our commitment to our values: work hard, be kind. We believe in excellence for our students to give them the opportunities to have choices in their lives, empowering them to choose the future that they desire off the back of hard work. We believe in working together to ensure that our community supports one another and challenges one another to be the ‘best’ versions of ourselves, not because we have to improve, but because if we do, the potential is endless. We believe in the fidelity of our vision for students and staff, and strive to retain our moral compass when making decisions, to foster an open, inclusive and happy community at Oakbank.
The school is committed to a journey of transformation, where staff, students and parents are determined to improve the quality and experience of education for its community. We believe that every child deserves to not only access the full curriculum, but should thrive in their curriculums, developing academically, personally and holistically as a result of passionate and adaptive teaching, resulting in committed learning that secures successful outcomes. Our current phase of school improvement features our entire team working together at pace to offer greater stability, more innovation and creativity. The aim is for greater consistency for all students, enabling them to manage their learning and themselves more effectively.
We are incredibly proud of our wonderful school community. We have made great strides in recent times to become a highly successful school, and we will not rest in our ambition of being the best that we possibly can be.

The Greenshaw Learning Trust is an academy trust, a charitable company with the sole purpose of maintaining and developing academy schools, to provide comprehensive and inclusive education for the public benefit, funded by the Department for Education.
The Trust seeks to build a ‘family’ of like-minded schools that share essential values and a common ethos and vision for education and learning, and collaborate to provide mutual support, share their good practice and learn from each other.
Each school in the Trust will retain and develop its own distinct character, led by its own leadership team and local governing body. The Trust will provide the support and infrastructure the schools need to enable them to develop and improve and for the school leadership and governing body to achieve their objectives for their school.
You can find out more about the governance of the Trust here.
The Greenshaw Learning Trust is a DfE approved sponsor of both primary and secondary schools and has approval to open a new ASD school in Sutton.
