Oakwood School has the following Support Staff vacancy:-
Administration Assistant within ALF (SEN department)
25 to 30 hours per week, five days per week, term time only.
Surrey Pay Grade S4 £18,553 - £19,866 pro rata (FTE £25,879 to £27,710) based on 30 hours per week
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Administration Assistant to join our Access to Learning Faculty (ALF) team, supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
This is a key administrative role providing support to the SENDCo and ALF leadership team. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the department, particularly in managing student records, annual reviews, communication with parents and external agencies, and maintaining accurate systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating administrative processes for EHCP annual reviews, ensuring statutory deadlines are met
- Managing and maintaining student records on SIMS and other systems
- Producing high-quality documentation, reports and communications
- Liaising with parents, staff and external professionals
- Organising meetings, booking rooms and arranging logistics (including Teams meetings)
- Supporting provision mapping and maintaining accurate intervention records
- Managing departmental communications, including email inboxes
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong administrative experience and excellent organisational skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly (e.g. SIMS, Microsoft Forms, Teams)
- Has excellent attention to detail and can manage confidential information appropriately
- Can work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Has strong communication skills and enjoys working as part of a team
- Experience in a school or SEND environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
