Help us bring it to life as we create life-long Geographers here at Oasis Academy Brightstowe. Can you lead our Geography Department and guide our young enthusiasts curious of the world they live in? We are looking for an experienced Geography Subject Leader to join our Academy.

The role and what we are looking for

You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum, excellent subject knowledge and proven success as an effective leader. You will be expected to teach Geography and lead the department. The successful candidate is someone who:

  • is forward thinking and capable of inspiring students through their passion for Geography.
  • has experience to teaching the subject to KS3 and KS 4
  • is a successful teacher who believes in bringing out the best in every student and who believes in the potential of all
  • challenges our young people to think in new ways
  • can turn ideas and opportunities into success
  • establishes and maintains strong relationships, using excellent interpersonal skills
  • has experience of successfully leading others
  • sets high expectations for teaching and learning
  • is a reflective and collaborative practitioner
  • has an up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies
  • is willing to model and support the Oasis ethos
