Location: Dysart School, 190 Ewell Rd, Surbiton KT6 6HL
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.15am – 4.15pm (with one agreed day finishing at 4pm) Term time plus one additional week.
Dysart School is an Outstanding special school for 150 pupils aged 4 to 19 who have a range of severe and complex learning difficulties. The School has high expectations for its pupils and believe there is no limit to their potential.
Its main site, located in Surbiton, is bright and well equipped to support the development of its pupils including Early Years classrooms with outdoor learning spaces, a dedicated post-16 hub, accessible swimming pool, sensory room, soft play and adventure play areas and generous grounds equipped for play and outdoor learning.
In addition, Dysart School runs two satellite sites next to mainstream schools in the local area to help meet the need for high-quality SEN places in the borough of Kingston.
We are looking for a personable and dependable Administration Coordinator with strong organisational skills to manage the EHCP process and deliver effective administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the EHCP process, take accurate minutes and organise meetings
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including financial administration and support
• Provide reception support and handle general clerical tasks, such as photocopying and call management
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster positive working relationships and contribute to the smooth functioning of the school community
Key Requirements:
• Energetic, efficient, and flexible, with strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use initiative while also working collaboratively with the whole school team
• Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of MIS packages is desirable
• Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (A*–C pre-2014 or grade 9–4 post-2014) or equivalent competence at an appropriate level
