Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 16.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 16.00pm, 52 weeks contract
Arbour Vale School is a special school in Slough for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of educational needs. With over 300 pupils on roll, it is one of the largest special schools in the country and meets the needs of children and young people with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties with profound and multiple needs as well pupils with autism.
The school is purpose built with specialist facilities including a dedicated nursery and post-16 base, soft-play area, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, a newly refurbished library, well-equipped IT suite, dedicated music room and large sports hall.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced professional to support the Principal in leading the day-to-day operations and functional services of the school. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that all support services—including Business Operations, Health & Safety, Project Management, and School Transport—are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in full compliance with OHC&AT policies and procedures.
This is a key role that demands a strong operational focus, attention to statutory compliance, and the ability to manage resources, contracts, and cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will play a vital part in creating a safe, well-maintained, and supportive environment that enables high-quality education and care for all pupils.
