We are committed to creating an ambitious, forward thinking learning environment for all our pupils, students and staff and providing the best possible education for local children from 2 to 18 years.
Our Trust was created in January 2018 based on a shared vision which embraced our Cooperative values and those of our Church of England schools. We now include three secondary schools and 16 primary schools in our Trust, helping just under 5000 children and 720 staff to thrive.
Our pupils and staff all enjoy the wonderful opportunities that Devon has to offer, and we recognise that working across our schools collaboratively ensures that the challenges of rurality, transport and communication don’t stop anyone from achieving their full potential, from our smallest schools with under 30 pupils, to our large secondary schools with over 1400 on roll.
Each school ensures its curriculum is broad, challenging and relevant for the communities it serves and recognises the need to produce global citizens for the future.
We welcome applications from committed people who share our vision. In return, you will have access to an outstanding CPD programme, which will enable you to continue to develop and grow as both an excellent teacher, leader or support staff member.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on.
Throughout my time as Headteacher here at Okehampton Primary School, it has been my ongoing goal to ensure that the children have the best experiences of school. I believe that a good attitude to learning starts with self-belief and self-esteem. This allows children to tackle any obstacles that may be ahead of them, both academically and emotionally. Striving towards success and having aspiration, accumulates in a positive and rewarding learning experience and results in good achievement across the curriculum.
Our Vision Statement was renewed in 2015 and is our firm commitment : 'We will provide outstanding Teaching and Learning so that each of our children is inspired to excel within an environment where they feel valued, safe and respected.'
Our school vision: to provide outstanding teaching and learning so that each of our children is inspired to excel within an environment where they feel valued, safe and respected.
Our school values incorporate the Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust values, British values and ethical values. We use these values as a basis for planning our daily assemblies in both KS1 and KS2. We believe in the importance of the children taking ownership of these values and we therefore set some of the KS2 children a challenge to combine the values into what we believe in our school.
At Okehampton Primary School, our school values, as written by the children, are:
O - Opportunities for all
K - Kindness
E - Equality and equity
H - Heartfelt solidarity
A - All voices to be heard
M - Mutual respect
P - People sticking to the rules
T - Tolerance
O - Openness and honesty
N - No bullying or prejudice
At Okehampton Primary School, we aim....
..... to go further than we thought
..... to run faster than we hoped
..... to reach higher than we dreamed
..... to become the best we can be.
