A founding member of the Palladian Academy Trust, Oldfield Park Junior School (OPJS) is a popular eight class community school that serves Oldfield Park and the surrounding suburbs of Bath. OPJS was formed in 1893, deemed as ‘Good’ in its last OFSTED inspection (October 2019) and currently has 238 children on roll. Due to the promotion of the previous post holder, we are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner, with a passion for teaching, who can ‘hit the ground running’ and ensure that our fabulous children receive the very best.

Our school and children need you if you are:

  • An outstanding teacher who is committed to motivate and inspire all children resulting in improved standards for all the children in your care.
  • A person with passion, enthusiasm and drive who loves working with children, their families and the wider school community.
  • Able to work collaboratively, plan and deliver consistently outstanding lessons, can assess learning effectively and committed to raising standards in all areas.
  • A teacher who has high expectations of all members of a school.
  • Flexible, hardworking and able to enjoy the fun and challenges of school life.
  • Highly motivated and well organised.
  • Has a passion to champion all aspects of the curriculum.

Do you fit the bill? If you feel that you do and have the energy, drive and enthusiasm then we would like to hear from you!

In return we can offer you:

  • Delightful, enthusiastic and motivated learners.
  • Excitement, challenge and an opportunity to shine.
  • A leadership team who are committed to improving our school further and who view your professional development as a priority.
  • A friendly, supportive and committed staff, determined to raise standards further.
  • An inclusive community.
  • A well-resourced school environment, based in an iconic and historic building.
  • A school that receives the full support from our Trust.
