Callicroft Primary Academy is looking for an inspirational and dedicated Headteacher, who has an excellent track record of rapid school improvement. You will have strong pedagogical practice, will be committed to ensuring that all pupils achieve and will be an experienced leader able to drive the school forward into its next phase of development.

We are seeking an aspirational Headteacher capable of delivering educational excellence. The successful individual will lead by example, with a focus on supporting and developing the team on a trajectory of continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to build on the successes the school has already achieved, to raise standards and to work with the wider Olympus Academy Trust to embed teaching and learning practices that shape the future for the school and the children. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience and the ambition to raise the profile of our school successfully, show that they are able to maintain good relationships throughout the school community and participate fully in the life of the school.

Our school was rated ‘requires improvement’ by Ofsted in June 2017 but there has been significant progress since and a ‘good’ rating is an achievable aspiration. The successful candidate will be a true champion of best practice and inclusion, striving for the very best educational provision and will be supported by a strong, committed Leadership Team, the Trust’s Central Team and The School Improvement Committee (governance).

Detailed applications are warmly invited from interested parties who truly understand and are excited by the school’s current position and context and see the opportunity it offers the right candidate. To this end, application forms should be accompanied by a covering letter that addresses the following key areas:

• The role of Headteacher within a Multi-Academy Trust and the opportunities or challenges you envisage this presenting

• How to ensure the achievable ‘good’ judgement is reached and what role would you expect the Trust to play in supporting you?

Visits to the school and/or a Zoom call with the Trust’s executive leadership for prospective candidates are both recommended and warmly welcomed. If you have not been considering a move, why not come and visit us and find out about this great opportunity? To make arrangements for a visit please contact Matt Wall, Head of HR , using our contact us page on The Olympus Academy Trust website.
