Post: Lead Caretaker
Salary: Grade 9, £27,334 - £29,777 per annum
We are seeking a committed and flexible Lead Caretaker to join our busy team. You will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in the safe and efficient running of the daily facilities operation at the academy, including all aspects of site maintenance, non-structural repairs, heating, ventilation, safety, security and cleanliness. You will be responsible for the daily management of the lunchbreak supervision team and will also be required to deputise in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
The successful candidate must able to work professionally and independently using initiative and thrive in a busy and demanding role. You will possess a range of practical skills in order to contribute to the general site maintenance and improvement works and be fit and able to cope with the physically challenging duties of a Lead Caretaker.
You will have a sound understanding of health and safety including COSHH, Risk Assessments. You will have excellent organisational skills ensuring that important activities are completed within tight timescales and with accuracy. You will be able to work logically, resourcefully, proactively, and efficiently. You will be a confident communicator and enjoy building and maintaining successful, professional relationships and have a positive approach to providing excellent customer service. Experience as a supervisor and qualifications in Health and Safety are desirable.
