About Open Sky International

Open Sky International Paris is an English/French bilingual private school, situated in Boulogne-Billancourt on the outskirts of Paris. Our vision is to provide a bilingual education of excellence to our pupils, and our academic programme is built on the strongest aspects of a range of international curricula and teaching and learning methodology. We were acknowledged as having the highest academic bilingual level in France when we received the award of the Prix de la Francophonie in January 2017 from TV5 Monde. We have high expectations and standards from the onset for all pupils and we aim for our curriculum to be rigorous, broad and engaging. Class sizes across the school are small and our pupils are courteous, hard-working and motivated. We are a fully international school, catering for both French and expatriate families, and we are proud of our multicultural school community. Our staff at all levels have high expectations of pupils, are enthusiastic and passionate about education and possess a sound understanding of best practice.

Our school is still relatively young and was the first international school opened by OSI, an ambitious and innovative new education group based in Paris. Further OSI schools will be opening in Egypt, Morocco and other locations internationally over the next five years.

The role

We now wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced French Teacher on a full time and permanent basis from August 2021, to teach French in our primary. French teaching is based on our internally developed curriculum and each class follows a bilingual weekly timetable. The successful candidate would also teach the geography and history of France, to develop a real understanding and appreciation of French culture within our pupils. Some of the timetable may also involve supporting small groups of pupils who are new to the French language. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also contribute to OSI’s after-school programme and other curriculum enrichment activities.

We are seeking a professional who:

  • Is a native-level French speaker, with a good command of English.
  • Has a good honours degree and qualified teacher status.
  • Is an inspiring professional who enthuses his or her classes.
  • Is enthusiastic and passionate about education, with a sound understanding of best practice.
  • Can demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and the capacity to teach their subject area with confidence.
  • Enjoys being a member of a team and always aims to work collaboratively.

What does OSI offer its teachers?

The position comes with an attractive salary and support with housing costs if required. Candidates must have the right to work within the EU.

How to apply

Please complete the application form and we reserve the right to interview and appoint at any stage of the recruitment process. Early applications are therefore encouraged. For further details of working at OSI, please visit our website.
