About Open Sky International

Open Sky International School’s first school in Morocco will open for pupils in September 2021, and will be situated in Californie, Casablanca. It will be one of the first international branches opened by OSI, an ambitious and innovative new schools’ group based in Paris, and other OSI schools will be opening in various locations in Morocco, Egypt and internationally over the next five years. OSI intends to very quickly become one of the best schools in Morocco and our aspirations for our pupils will be high.

The school’s curriculum is broad and incorporates the best aspects of a range of international systems. In the pre-school (or the maternelle as it is called in French) children follow a programme which is very similar in ethos to the UK Early Years curriculum, and from the primary, all pupils follow a bilingual timetable, taking half of their classes in French and the remainder in English. Arabic will also be an important part of the curriculum. During its first year, the school will welcome pupils from the ages of 2 until 11 years old, and will serve children from both the Moroccan and expatriate communities in Casablanca.

Who are we looking for?

We now wish to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced French Teacher on a full time and permanent basis from August 2021, to teach French in our primary. French teaching is based on our internally developed curriculum and each class follows a bilingual weekly timetable. The successful candidate would also teach the geography and history of Morocco. Some of the timetable may also involve supporting small groups of pupils who are new to the French language. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also contribute to OSI’s after-school programme and other curriculum enrichment activities.

We are seeking a professional who:

  • Is a native-level French speaker, with a good command of English.
  • Has a good honours degree and qualified teacher status.
  • Is an inspiring professional who enthuses his or her classes.
  • Is enthusiastic and passionate about education, with a sound understanding of best practice.
  • Can demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and the capacity to teach their subject area with confidence.
  • Enjoys being a member of a team and always aims to work collaboratively.

Why choose us?

OSI offers you the chance to become a part of a committed, international team. We intend to establish further schools to implement our vision for bilingual education over the next few years, and this gives our teachers the opportunity to become part of an exciting new project. In addition, OSI offers a competitive salary.
