Orchard Mead Academy strives to encourage all children to achieve to the best of their ability and believes that everyone has the potential to succeed.  We are proud to serve a uniquely diverse community in the North Eastern outskirts of the City of Leicester, in our larger than average 11-16 mixed comprehensive school. The staff, students and families at Orchard Mead Academy work together to support each learner, making sure they have every opportunity to achieve. We hope that by the time our students leave us they will be successful, confident and equipped with the skills to Make A Positive Difference to themselves, their families and the wider world. We offer a variety of study support groups to encourage pupils’ academic, sporting and creative talents as well as a wide range of trips and activities beyond the classroom. These have included visits to the European Parliament in Brussels and annual on-site activities such as the annual Fitness and Fun Week. An active student council works to represent the voices of pupils, helping them to get involved in decision-making at the school.

Formed in 2014, The Mead Educational Trust (TMET) is a well-established, respected multi academy trust in Leicestershire with a growing partnership of primary and secondary schools.

The Mead Educational Trust exists to improve the life chances of children and young people.
