Purpose:
As our Second in ADT, you will deliver a broad and relevant curriculum, lead across various disciplines and establish a positive learning experience where students of all abilities achieve their full academic potential. You will share our commitment to raising standards of attainment, closing gaps between groups of students and fostering an environment where students are inspired and empowered for life. You will work closely with the Head of Faculty to coach a wonderful team of staff, communicate effectively with parents and bring a firm belief that every child in our diverse community can succeed
Duties (further details in the attached application pack):
- Deliver high-standard lessons that follow designated programmes of study and lead contributions to new curriculum developments.
- Lead across all faculty subjects with a specific focus on teaching Hospitality and Catering at Key Stage 4.
- Support the Head of Faculty in coaching the staff team and developing an inspirational curriculum.
- Establish a positive learning experience to help students of varying ages and abilities achieve their full academic potential.
- Monitor, assess and report on student attendance, progress, development and attainment.
- Raise standards of attainment and contribute to closing gaps between different groups of students.
- Maintain discipline and a subject-focused learning environment in accordance with the school's Ready to Learn and behaviour policies.
- Interpret and produce accurate data to establish effective interventions to raise achievement.
- Communicate regularly and productively with parents and carers regarding student progress, behaviour and development.
