We are seeking two friendly and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work full time or part time (covering the hours of 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday). The role involves covering lessons for absent teachers (all lesson materials provided), tutoring small groups of students particularly in English and/or Maths, supporting additional learning interventions, and potentially delivering online learning. Part-time hours will be considered for the right applicant, please state preferences in the letter of application.

We welcome applicants for this role who are educated to at least A Level standard (or equivalent), but ideally with a degree, possess excellent interpersonal skills and are confident working with young people. We warmly welcome applicants who speak a community language in addition to English.

You must be able to build great relationships with students and staff, be calm and controlled, and able to follow our school systems. You will be working within a busy school environment and will need to have high expectations of managing behaviour, alongside kindness, flexibility and high resilience.

This role is ideally suited to someone with experience as a cover supervisor/ teacher, or alternatively to someone who is considering teaching as a career and is a confident and quick learner. We provide excellent professional development and learning opportunities. If you are thinking about becoming a teacher this is a fantastic first step for a fixed term post until the end of the school year.
