Working Pattern: 8.30am – 4.12pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join the team in the Visually Impaired Unit at the Oxted School.
We require an enthusiastic member of staff to work as a Teaching Assistant within the Specialist VI Centre at Oxted School. This role will be supporting students with severe visual impairment to enable them to access the curriculum and to lead independent lives. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and listening skills with a commitment to helping each student achieve their full potential. Excellent IT skills are a prerequisite. The successful candidates must also be willing to learn braille.
This position may be of interest to people who wish to consider a career in teaching to get classroom experience prior to commencing teacher training.
