Paisley Primary School is looking for Teaching Assistant Apprentices to support in the classroom and work as part of a team. Under the guidance of teachers, the successful candidates will be involved in working with individuals or small groups of children.
Salary: National Apprenticeship Wage, for 35 hours per week, between the hours of 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday - Friday, term time, plus five additional training days (195). Start date is as soon as possible for an 18 month contract.
What will the apprentice be doing?
• Support to implement learning activities working with individual or small groups of pupils
• Support to assist the development of varying skills that support pupils' learning
• Support in producing learning resources
• Support to assist in pupil supervision
• Support in monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs
• Reporting pupil progress to the teacher
• Work within the school's policy and procedures
• Working to the relevant apprenticeship standard and completing work in a timely manner
Qualifications required:
• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) desirable
• GCSE or equivalent maths (Grade 4) desirable
Future prospects - Possible further development leading to full-time employment within the Trust.
