JOB DESCRIPTION: Deputy Headteacher – Culture and Inclusion

PAY SCALE:               L17 – L21 (£69,969 - £77,195)

HOURS OF WORK:   Permanent, Full-time

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational colleague with the vision, drive and a proven track record of successful leadership to be Deputy Headteacher, to be the strategic lead professional at the school, working with the Headteacher to provide vision, ambition, leadership and direction.

The Deputy Headteacher will take a lead role in ensuring the school is managed and organised by taking direction from the Headteacher and working strategically with all partners and stakeholders to develop outstanding provision, which will transform the educational and future life opportunities of all learners.

Key Responsibilities of the Post:

• To lead the strategic drive to improve attendance of all of our students

• To lead on implementing effective strategies to remove barriers to learning for all so that everyone succeeds.

• To contribute to the students’ Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural learning by developing appropriate ethos through assemblies etc.

• To support the work of all staff in terms of maintaining high expectations with regard to behaviour through established routines and activities and to contribute to the handling of individual student behaviour cases.
