"Welcome to Penkridge Middle School!
As the headteacher of this fantastic school, it is my great pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to all students, parents, carers, and staff members. We believe that every child deserves the best education, and here at Penkridge Middle School, we are committed to providing a safe and inspiring learning environment for all.
At Penkridge Middle School, we value academic excellence, personal growth, and the development of well-rounded individuals. Our dedicated team of highly qualified teachers are passionate about education and are committed to helping each student reach their full potential. Through our values of effort and encouragement to excellence, we foster a love for learning and encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in our classrooms.
Our curriculum is designed to provide a broad and balanced education, offering a wide range of subjects and extracurricular activities, taught by subject specialists. We believe in empowering our students to discover their passions and talents, whether it's through sports, art, music, or other areas of interest. We provide ample opportunities for students to explore and excel in these areas, developing their individual strengths and talents.
In addition to academic and extracurricular pursuits, we place great emphasis on character development and the importance of positive values. Through our school rules of Ready, Respectful, and Safe, we aim to cultivate a respectful, inclusive, and supportive community where every student feels valued, respected, and accepted for who they are. We believe in promoting kindness, empathy, and resilience, as these qualities are essential for success in life. In all we do, we believe that the ‘PMS Way’ should shine through as an indicator of the school we all work together within.
Communication and collaboration are vital to a thriving school community. We encourage open and transparent communication between parents and carers, students, and staff. We believe that by working together, we can create a joined-up educational experience for all. We value the partnership between home and school and actively seek parental involvement in the learning journey of our students.
As headteacher, my door is always open. I am committed to building strong relationships with students, parents and carers, and staff, and I welcome your feedback, suggestions, and ideas through our channels of communication. Together, we can create an environment and educational experience that is happy, healthy and safe and prepare our students for a bright and successful future.
Once again, welcome to Penkridge Middle School! I look forward to an exciting and rewarding journey of learning, growth, and achievement for every member of our school community."
