An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Bradgate Education Partnership, working at The Pochin School as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant on fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave until 18th December 2026. The successful candidate will be required to work for 3.5 days per week, working day/hours will be discussed at interview.

We are seeking a well-motivated and enthusiastic person who is committed to delivering high quality provision to our pupils under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher and to cover classes for PPA, Senior Leadership release time and any unplanned absences that arise.

This is the perfect opportunity for ECTs who are looking for more experience working in different year groups, experienced teachers wishing to have less responsibility but staying within the classroom, or someone who is looking to take the next step in their career to gain whole class teaching experience. This role is a rewarding one with the successful candidate having the opportunity to work within a small village primary school with mixed classes and gain experience of teaching whole classes in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.


The ideal candidate will have:

• HLTA status and (or QTS)

• Experience of supporting, planning, evaluation, and delivery of learning activities in an educational setting

• The ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken

• The ability to manage pupil behaviour within and outside of the classroom
