Early Careers Teacher ( Sept 25 Start)
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Early Careers Teacher to join our teaching staff, beginning in September. This is a full-time position, but we would be open to applications from those candidates who would prefer to work part-time as we recognise that there are many strong teachers out there who are juggling work and family commitments.
Powell Corderoy School is a fabulous place to work! We have an experienced and supportive team of staff who love working together and are not afraid to try new things. There’s a real commitment to staff wellbeing and managing teacher workload here because, although we all work very hard, we have lives outside the classroom as well. Staff meetings are an hour fortnightly, and we give teachers release time when they need to undertake additional tasks.
Our children are probably the best thing about Powell Corderoy. They’re interested and interesting - our high expectations for behaviour and learning mean they make great progress. Children here benefit from a bespoke curriculum we wrote to ensure that learning was based in real-life experiences as much as possible. We get out and about loads, and constantly seek opportunities to be involved with our local community. Our beautiful and extensive school grounds in the heart of the Surrey Hills are the perfect setting for a lot of outdoor learning too, so we make good use of the natural environment that surrounds us.
If we sound like the sort of place you’d like to work, why not pop in for a visit? The Headteacher, Richard Darke, would be happy to show you round and answer any questions you may have - please ring the school office to make an appointment.
