An opportunity has arisen for a suitable candidate to join the team of Learning Supervisors at Prince Henry’s High School. The primary role is to cover the classes of teachers who are absent from school for students in Years 9 to 11.

Whilst no teaching qualification is required, this role may suit an applicant who is considering a career in teaching or who has recently qualified and wishes to develop their classroom experience ahead of starting their teaching career. Irrespective of their work background or experience, the successful candidate will have the ability to create a climate for learning and establish a working atmosphere, ensuring that students remain focused on their work across all subjects. They will genuinely enjoy working with teenagers of all abilities and will be able to establish and build relationships with the students, teaching staff and the Cover Manager, whilst displaying a calm, authoritative and professional manner.

Full-time working hours will be from 8.55 am – 3.35 pm (including unpaid breaks during the morning and at lunchtime), Monday to Friday, during term time and TED Days (195 days per year). The option to work part-time within this range is also available.

Basic computer skills are needed as classes are registered electronically. Full training will be provided.
