We have wonderful grounds at both schools, enabling us to provide rich indoor and outdoor learning environments, where we can cultivate the habits and attitudes of curious, confident, independent learners. Lorraine Infant School caters for children aged 2-7 years in our Nursery and Infant classes.

The school has an interesting history as it was built on part of the site of a Free French Camp established during the 2nd World War. General de Gaulle visited the camp on many occasions and was frequently seen in Camberley. He later gave his permission for the school to bear the name of 'Lorraine' from the French 'Cross of Lorraine'. In June 2005 surviving members of the Free French Lorraine 342 Squadron visited Camberley and presented a plaque to the school, which can be found in our hall.

The school consists of specialist Early Years Foundation Stage units and several Key Stage 1 teaching areas. We have wonderful outdoor learning areas, which are well resourced. The Foundation Stage garden, to which children have free access, is designed and resourced to support all areas of children's early development. Our Key Stage 1 outdoor learning environment has climbing equipment, an outdoor theatre, a MUGA sports pitch, a large playground, trim trail and field area. In addition, we are very fortunate to have a wonderful nature garden with a pond, minibeast area, flower and vegetable gardens, meadow area and raised sensory beds, all of which offer rich opportunities for active learning outdoors. The school hall is equipped with a wide range of PE apparatus and equipment. Appetising and nutritious meals are cooked on site and served in the hall from a servery. We have a well resourced library with an area that is used for targeted group work, and a food tech area where the children enjoy cooking.

Pine Ridge Infant School caters for children aged 2-7 years in our Nursery and Infant classes.

In addition we are very fortunate to have an area of woodland, raised growing beds and a wildlife pond, all of which offer rich opportunities for active learning outdoors. The school hall is equipped with a wide range of PE apparatus and equipment. Appetising and nutritious meals are cooked on site and served in the hall from a servery. We have a well resourced library and a small room that is used for targeted group work, and workshops for parents/carers.

Our School sits within a newly established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Pine Ridge & Lorraine, our cluster includes the following other schools; Springfield Primary School, Hammond Junior School, Lightwater Village School and Cordwalles Junior School.

As a Teaching School Hub, GLF provides high-quality professional development to teachers at all stages of their careers across our 43 GLF Trust schools and 475 other schools in the local region.

As a Teaching School Hub, GLF delivers initial teacher training, early career teacher support, and training for teachers in their first two years of teaching, as well as middle and senior leader training programs, through the delivery of our suite of national professional qualifications. GLF is also the Appropriate Body for over 730 early career teachers within GLF and beyond into West Sussex, ensuring that all early career teachers are well-supported and effectively trained.

We have excellent regional partnerships that benefit all teachers, support staff, and school leaders who work for GLF or collaborate with GLF’s Teaching School Hub. Many of our past trainee teachers go on to be mentors and leaders who come back and facilitate through GLF’s Teaching School Hub.

GLF is exceptionally proud of GLF Schools Teacher Training, where our initial teacher training program integrates seamlessly with GLF’s Teaching School Hub programs to support all teachers on their journey to excellence.

 Working with Inspiring Future Teachers, GLF’s Initial Teacher Training Hub offers fee-paying and employment-based routes with PGCE for teacher training in primary and secondary schools. Our training programs are led by excellent, experienced, practicing facilitators who care for and develop our passionate trainees into the teaching profession. Our wide range of support and partnerships means we offer outstanding retention and employment rates for our trainee teachers.
