Your Opportunity
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Finance Partner to join our Trust. The role oversees a number of academies in Region A covering Camberley, Wokingham, Reading, Sunbury, Didcot and Banbury. Responsible to the Financial Controller, we require an individual who is a great team player, has excellent communication skills and has a flexible approach to work.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Heads of our 12 schools within our West & Oxfordshire cluster (Region A) to ensure that resources are used as effectively as possible to provide the best possible education for children and young people.
This is a hybrid role, whereby we are able to offer work from home for part of the week, and a base at our regional office located at Pine Ridge and Lorraine School in Camberley. There will also be regular travel involved and a need to visit the schools within the region as and when required.
The role will include
- Providing finance leadership and business support to Headteachers, helping to drive positive change
- Supporting & guiding budget holders & senior management in their financial management responsibilities
- Lead the regional finance team of Finance managers and Finance Officers with the day to day running of the academies
- Routinely develop and review Management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- Oversight of schools by phase (Primary, Secondary or Nursery) to ensure consistency
What we are looking for
The Finance Partner will empower their team to deliver day to day finances and support our academies to produce strategic budgets both short term and long term.
We require:
- Someone who holds a recognised accountancy qualification
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to liaise with senior staff in academies.
- Good team player and skilled at building relationships
- Has excellent all-round accounting skills
- Accustomed to working to tight reporting deadlines
- Be able to manage staff and motivate staff to achieve their goals
- Demonstrate good analytical skills and a positive approach to problem solving
- Have high level of Excel skills and good exposure to different accounting systems

The Details
Start Date: As soon as available
Salary: Leadership 2 £60,000 FTE
Hours: 36 hours a week over 52 weeks a year
