WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER

I warmly welcome you to Putttenham Church of England Infant School.

Puttenham C of E School is a one form entry infant school for children aged between 4 and 7. We have been at the heart of our beautiful village for more than 120 years.

Our mission is to provide the best possible education for all our children in a caring and happy Christian community. Our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do. Our values of love, hope, respect, resilience and wisdom inspire children to flourish and be the very best they can be.

We believe each child is unique and will learn best when they are happy, healthy and secure. The staff, Trust and local committee members ensure that the teaching and environment we provide enables each child to succeed and their strengths are recognised and celebrated as a community.

We are currently rated ‘outstanding’ for our Early Years education, personal development and behaviour and attitudes. We are very proud to ensure that we provide the very best education and experiences for the children at our school. Our curriculum and enrichment opportunities ensures that children gain an excellent foundation to become life-long learners.

Our school is very much part of the local community. The Church and village are very supportive of our school and ensure we continue to thrive. Our parents and families are an integral part of school; we understand the importance of working together effectively to achieve the very best outcomes for the children.

On 1st May 2024 we joined a family of Christian schools within The Good Shepherd Trust. Our shared values underpin our commitment to ensure each child flourishes and grows whilst in our care and are prepared for the next stage of their education.

We warmly invite you to experience our wonderful school first hand. Please contact the school office on 01483 810317 or info@puttenham.surrey.sch.uk for a tour.

I look forward to meeting you.

Our Vision and Values

We are a happy and supportive Christian school community. Inspired by Jesus’ words ‘live life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) we aim to provide the education and opportunities to nurture our children to be respectful, confident and responsible citizens of the community. Through our shared vision and values we recognise and develop the unique gifts and qualities of all.

Our curriculum is inspired by the wonderful environment and views that surround the school. We have the constant reminder of the wonder and beauty of God’s creation.

Mission Statement

Our village school strives to provide the best possible education for all its children in a caring and happy Christian community.

Our Vision

Puttenham Church of England Infant School provides a caring and inclusive community. Everyone in our village school and Parish is an important and respected member of God’s family.

Our school badge is the emblem of St John the Baptist who described Jesus as ‘The Lamb of God’. Under his guidance we live out our Christian values of love, hope, resilience, respect and wisdom to flourish as individuals and be the very best we can be.

Our Aims

We aim to create a safe, happy, healthy, sustainable and supportive school that will:

  • foster a lifelong love of learning
  • build relationships based on the Christian beliefs and values of love, care and respect and
  • encourage excellence in all things

Our Christian Values

We believe that at the heart of our school are our core values of love, hope, respect, resilience and wisdom. These values underpin our spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

The children, staff, parents and governors contributed to our core values. We explore these values through the Christian teachings in the Bible, songs, art and music in our daily act of worship, in our curriculum and everything we do here at Puttenham.
