You will join a team of four who already have a wide range of skills and abilities covering the complex needs of the organisation. We are operating in a time when IT is at the foremost of everyone’s mind; staff and students working remotely and in situ and at times both. IT is the heart of this organisation and every day in employment is different to the next, sometimes we are facilitating exams, other days we are helping students log on to their own devices, some days we are teaching others how to set up Zoom calls or we have even been known to fan the server room while the coolers overheat! It is a great place, an awesome team with a varied workload.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who can demonstrate their technical experience or ability and skill level in this particular field. We are looking for someone to grow and develop, who is open to training, learning and acquiring new skills. In addition to that we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic at delivering great customer service.
Working in this environment requires ‘thinking on your feet,’ good organisation skills, clear and strong communication approaches, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, a good and appropriate sense of humour and the ability to work flexibly.
