A bit about us!

Queniborough C.E. Primary School is a school with a caring, Christian ethos, which joined Learn AT on 1st October 2023. A special feature of the school is its inclusive nature and the care and concern shown for each member of the school community.

We have strong links with the local Anglican Church and village community. The school has very attractive grounds, which are used beneficially for outdoor learning activities and Forest School sessions.

Approximately half of our learners live in the village of Queniborough with the other half from Syston and neighbouring villages. We are a single form entry school with 200 children currently on roll. .

Queniborough was last inspected by Ofsted in October 2018 and was judged to be good. Our SIAMS inspection was in May 2016 and the school was judged as outstanding.

Our School aims to develop among all children:

  • confidence, self-esteem and an awareness among pupils of their own feelings and the feelings of others
  • physical health, mental health, wellbeing and quality of life
  • skills, knowledge and personal qualities that will prepare them for adult life
  • lively enquiring minds with the ability to question, hypothesise, argue rationally, make decisions and apply themselves to tasks, including physical activities
  • high levels of attainment in both core and foundation subjects
  • the ability to use language, number, scientific and information communication technology skills effectively in a variety of contexts
  • to encourage the morals and values of the Christian faith encompassing the Church of England’s Vison for Education
  • an understanding and respect for moral and religious values, for all individuals, for the world’s many ethnic and religious groups and for people having any form of disability, including children with special educational needs
  • knowledge and appreciation of the world and an understanding of the interdependence of individuals, groups and nations
  • an appreciation of human achievements

We are a school and Multi Academy Trust committed to the development of our staff and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an extensive range of CPD.

If you feel our school is where you see yourself developing your teaching career we would love to hear from you, and welcome you to visit.us.
