Qualified Early Years Educator
Location:
Raised in Bristol at Docklands Community Centre (BS2)
Salary: £27,206.40 per annum
Contract: Full time 40 hours per week

Come and join Raised in Bristol – where early years education meets community impact.

We’re a not-for-personal-profit social enterprise with a big heart and a clear mission: to provide exceptional early years education while investing in the communities we serve. At Raised In, we believe that nurseries should feel like home—welcoming, nurturing, and full of joy.

We’re a passionate bunch who love what we do. Every day, we support children to thrive through play-based, child-led learning in beautifully designed spaces that spark curiosity and confidence.

At Raised In our approach centres on child-led learning through play, with a thoughtfully designed curriculum that nurtures curiosity and supports each child’s unique interests. From the baby room through to preschool, we focus on every stage of development—helping children grow in confidence and preparing them for their exciting next steps towards school.

Our St Pauls nursery is a hidden gem—small and relaxed, with just 56 places across three light-filled rooms. It has a homely feel, a wide veranda, and a private garden that gives children space to explore and grow.

Located just a 5-minute walk from Cabot Circus and Stokes Croft, and only 10 minutes from Montpelier station, it’s easy to reach by bike or public transport. Due to limited parking, we’re especially keen to hear from candidates who live locally or can commute sustainably.

Why work with us?

We really value our expert team. As well as offering competitive pay for all roles in a friendly and supportive team, you’ll receive lots of great benefits:

What about you?

You’re the kind of person who lights up around children and believes in the power of play to spark learning. You bring energy, curiosity and a can-do attitude to your work, and you’re always up for trying new things. You care deeply about inclusion, teamwork and making a difference—not just in the nursery, but in the wider community too. You’re reflective, open to feedback, and keen to grow. If you’re passionate about giving children the best start in life and want to be part of a team that’s rethinking how Early Years education is done, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re a qualified Early Years Practitioner, Educator, or Teacher in Bristol looking for an exciting new role that makes a real difference, Raised In could be your perfect next step!

You’ll have (in line with Raised in Behaviours)

  • The ability to contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative and supportive environment
  • Children’s needs at the forefront of everything that you do
  • A positive mindset, approaching tasks with a can-do-attitude
  • A strong work ethic, setting a good example for others and supporting your team
  • The want to make a difference, working in partnership positively with your team
  • The want to be part of trying or suggesting new initiatives and ways of doing things
  • High standards for yourself, team and the nursery
  • A reflective mindset, open to feedback and ongoing self-improvement

Applicant requirements

To apply for this role you’ll need a full and relevant Early Years qualification, such as:

  • NNEB
  • NVQ Level 3+ Diploma (Childcare & Education)
  • BTEC (Childcare)
  • QTS
  • Foundation Degree or BA Hons in Early Years Education or Child Development

Please note: The Level 3 Award in Early Years Education does not meet the DfE’s criteria for a “full and relevant” Level 3 qualification for staffing ratios in early years settings.

As a part of our safer recruitment policy and commitment to safeguarding, we will require you to complete our application form directly on our website during the process. It’s super easy to use and mobile-friendly.

You’ll also need:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • The ability to commute reliably to one of our nursery settings

As part of the recruitment process, we’ll ask for evidence of your right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we’re not able to sponsor work visas at this time.

If you hold an Early Years qualification awarded outside the UK, you’ll need to apply for an Early Years Statement from the Ecctis Early Years Service before we can process your application.
