At Raised In, we believe in the power of education to shape the future, we’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Room Leader to step into a Senior Room Leader role, acting as third in charge and supporting both the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager. Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground offers a more relaxed feel than larger settings, with just 62 places. It’s housed in a beautiful timber-framed building overlooking the much-loved Adventure Playground. The nursery has a warm, homely atmosphere, and all rooms enjoy free-flow access to the garden space, perfect for outdoor play and exploration.
We’re just a 5-minute walk from Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill Roundabout, with regular bus links across Bristol, and only 10 minutes from Stapleton Road train station. The nursery is easily accessible by bike, and there’s free on-street parking nearby.
Our approach centres on child-led learning through play, with a thoughtfully designed curriculum that nurtures curiosity and supports each child’s unique interests. From the baby room through to preschool, we focus on every stage of development—helping children grow in confidence and preparing them for their exciting next steps towards school.

Applicant requirements
To apply for this role you’ll need relevant experience in a similar role or as a Room Lead looking to step up to the next level as well as a full and relevant Early Years qualification, such as:
- NNEB
- NVQ Level 3+ Diploma (Childcare & Education)
- BTEC (Childcare)
- QTS
- Foundation Degree or BA Hons in Early Years Education or Child Development
Please note: The Level 3 Award in Early Years Education does not meet the DfE’s criteria for a “full and relevant” Level 3 qualification for staffing ratios in early years settings.
You’ll also need:
- The right to work in the UK
- The ability to commute reliably to our St Pauls nursery (we’re especially keen to hear from candidates who live locally or can travel sustainably)
If you hold an Early Years qualification awarded outside the UK, you’ll need to apply for an Early Years Statement from the Ecctis Early Years Service before we can process your application.
