We are seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated maternity cover mathematics teacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. You will be an inspirational teacher with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be rigorous in the pursuit of high standards for all students. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential, as is a commitment to students’ personal best. You will be joining a successful school with an outstanding ethos, where staff and students are supported to become the best. As such, you will work with a highly motivated, supportive and well qualified team, and will be given the opportunity to develop personally and professionally.
Our results are a testament to our team with our A level results being consistently excellent, both in Maths and Further Maths. Our GCSE results are also strong, with more than 70% consistently achieving grades 9-4. Year 7 and 8 are taught in mixed attainment classes, with a focus on teaching for mastery. This gives all students every opportunity to grow as mathematicians and develop a range of skills, including problem solving and critical thinking.
The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to support a range of extracurricular Maths activities, including Maths Club, Chess Club, the National Cipher Challenge and KS4 Additional Maths.
