ASD Resource Base Teacher

Our new ASD Resource Base will open in September 2025 and will be a dedicated provision for up to 20 students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPS) and will provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children with ASD can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. As a dedicated ASD Resource Base Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our students to reach their full potential.

About the role

The Trust wishes to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and well-motivated Teacher who is committed to providing inspirational and motivational teaching and care. You will be an employee of the Palladian Academy Trust, based at the Griffin Centre at Ralph Allen School, the new resource base opening in September 2025 for children with ASD.

We would welcome applications from teachers who are supportive of the aims, values, vision and ethos of our school and who have a proven ability as an excellent practitioner.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with ASD, focusing on their specific strengths and challenges.

• Use evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to address the diverse learning needs of students with ASD.

• Liaise closely with subject teachers in the mainstream school regarding curriculum content.

• Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, the Resource Base Manager, SENDCo and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to classroom staff to promote understanding and effective management of ASD-related behaviours.

• Stay current on best practices and research in the field of ASD education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth and development.

What you'll bring:

• Primary or Secondary Teaching experience with Qualified Teacher Status.

• Proven experience working with children with ASD in a school or clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of ASD characteristics, behaviour management techniques, and assistive technologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

• Passion, patience, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of children with ASD.
