I am incredibly proud to be the Head Teacher of such an inspirational, caring school, which has the children’s learning experiences and well being at the heart of everything we do. We understand that each child’s learning journey may look a little different, and we strive to ensure all of our pupils are supported and challenged effectively to enable them to be the best they can be.
Our curriculum is enriched and engaging with fantastic opportunities for all children to enjoy and feel inspired by. Learning is well-structured and challenging and all children are encouraged to meet high expectations academically, socially and morally.
Everyone at Redfield Edge is valued. We work hard to make sure that each child feels safe and respected, and demonstrates our school values on a daily basis.
We have a fantastic team of Governors; compassionate and professional staff; an engaged and hardworking Friends group; as well as a highly supportive group of parents and carers working together to ensure we deliver the best possible education for all of our pupils.
We have high aspirations for all our pupils. We work hard to enable children to develop self-confidence and independence, while recognising that each and everyone has a part to play as a responsible member of our learning community, wider community and the world we live in.
We are all proud to be part of the Redfield Edge family.

The school was established in 1843 and is located on the edge of the village of Oldland Common, just seven miles from the city centres of Bristol and Bath. The caring and happy learning environment that we have created exists to give every pupil the very best opportunity to realise their full potential.
Our expectations are high and we value the excellent level of support that parents offer. We see the strength of the partnership between home and school as being very important to the development of children.
In their time at school we hope that the pupils will discover a love of learning and master all the skills that form the foundations for future success. We aim to foster attitudes of courtesy, thoughtfulness, respect for others and self discipline so that the children can play their part as responsible members of the wider community.
Over the past 4 years, we have developed our outside areas with many new additions. Our Apollo Challenger is used by all children, challenging themselves to climb, swing and balance their around it.
Our school garden is used regularly by all classes and the produce are harvested to be used in our school kitchen. The children plant and care for all our plants around school making sure they are watered and tended to. In the summer months, they really do look beautiful. With this, our children understand the importance of small creature in and around our garden. The all designed and constructed our very own bug hotel.

As a group of twelve Church and Community Schools across South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire we want to formalise our collaborative model of working. We believe that as a family of schools forming a Trust we can achieve:
Deliberate and purposeful collaboration which strengthens and builds capacity at all levels.
A strong, highly skilled, and resilient trustee and governance structure which focuses on enabling and empowering people.
School environments where all children, particularly those that face disadvantage can flourish and where equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging are front and centre.
Professional growth and development that creates cultures and communities of improvement.
A sense of civic duty underpinned by the Charitable status where we can benefit from sharing our learning but also learning from others.
Financial stability through robust systems and structures.
We are a strong family of schools that serve diverse communities including two of the most deprived wards in South Gloucestershire and schools that are faith based, rural and small. We would want to work alongside the Diocese, Local Authorities and Academy partners as the Trust grows and develops.
