Redfield Educate Together are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working in our Reception class.

Experience working in Reception or an EYFS setting is essential, and experience of working with SEND children is beneficial.

Redfield Educate Together is a place where every child is valued, and where we work hard to create a nurturing environment that supports their learning and well-being.

Inspected in May 2024 by OFSTED and graded RI - we are on a determined journey of improvement. Our community is diverse, inclusive, and brimming with potential.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of our children who come from diverse backgrounds?

Do you thrive in a supportive school community where relationships are at the heart of everything we do?

Our school is a place where every child is valued, and where we work hard to create a nurturing environment that supports their learning and well-being.

Our school takes a relational approach, valuing connection, understanding, and trust over punitive or behaviourist methods. We believe that every child deserves compassion, patience, and support to thrive both academically and emotionally.

You may be a good fit for our school if you:

• Understand the importance of a relational approach and are committed to fostering trust, connection, and understanding in their interactions with children.

• Can support children with SEMH challenges, using strategies that promote emotional regulation, confidence, and engagement.

• Have the skills to manage and respond to unexpected behaviours with a calm, flexible, and solutions-focused approach.

• Understand this is a physically demanding and active role, which may include using de-escalation techniques

• Demonstrate calmness, flexibility, and resilience in challenging situations.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with the following attributes:

• Proven experience in a Reception or EYFS setting.

• An understanding of the importance of early learning and child development.

• An understanding of early childhood development and the EYFS curriculum

• A strong understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and how these can present in children.

• A calm, flexible, and resilient approach to supporting learners

• Experience and ability to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on a 1:1 basis or within small group settings.

• A comprehension of the impact of trauma on children.

• Skills to build positive and nurturing relationships with children to foster their development and well-being.

• Initiative, alongside the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

• Proven experience in managing children with SEND, demonstrating effective strategies to support their learning journeys.

What we offer:

A supportive and welcoming school community with a strong sense of belonging.

• Opportunities for professional development and training to further enhance your skills.

• A role that is both challenging and deeply rewarding, where no two days are the same.

• A school environment where relationships matter, and every staff member is valued.

• The opportunity to be part of an inclusive, vibrant, and supportive community.

• Access to a supportive Trust with ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and networking opportunities to enhance your career.

• A dedicated and supportive local governing body that values your input and contributions.

This is a full-time permanent post-Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:45pm ( until 4.30pm on  Wednesdays for staff meeting).

There may also be an opportunity to take on Breakfast Club Hours which would be a 7:45am start.
