A First Aider plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals in school. Rednock secondary School is seeking to appoint a confident, caring and organised person to join our team in the role of School First Aider.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Assess the medical and welfare needs presented by students
- Administer first aid as appropriate
- Support students in school with ongoing medical needs
- Administer approved medication to students
- Maintain records and reports
- Liaison with parents
Applicants should hold a First Aid at Work certificate as a minimum and previous experience in first aid is desirable.
Our ideal candidate will have a discrete, professional approach, the ability to work with a variety of staff and students, and build good relationships, whilst working under pressure. Working 31.25 hours per week, 08:30 – 15:15 daily, this is a term time only, permanent role. The salary is Grade 3 pro rata, equating to £17,232pa, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
