This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Teacher of Boys’ PE to join us at Rednock School. The role requires you to teach the full age and ability range across Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally in all areas of the National Curriculum and examination classes.

You will be an enthusiastic classroom practitioner, able to quickly establish routines and facilitate learning to the highest standards, whilst building positive relationships with students across the key stages. Your participation and support for the extra-curricular provision within the school is essential.

In return, we can offer you enthusiastic students, superb facilities and excellent opportunities for career development, as well as a bespoke induction programme for new staff. We are a rural 11-18 comprehensive school, with excellent road links and spectacular views over rolling hills with strong links to local sports clubs.

This permanent post is open to part-time or full-time applicants, to start with us from September 2025. Please complete an application form, including a supporting statement or covering letter outlining how your qualities and experiences have prepared you for this role.

The closing date for applications is 9:00 am Monday 17th March 2025, and interviews will be held following the closing date. Further details about the school are available on our website, and further information on our PE department is available in our recruitment brochure. If you would like to pay us a visit to see for yourself, please contact our Reception team to arrange. We look forward to hearing from you.

Safeguarding Statement:

Rednock School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children. Each school role involves regular contact with students and therefore you will receive safeguarding training as part of your role.
