This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Teacher of Food to join us at Rednock School. The role requires you to teach the full age and ability range across Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally in all areas of the National Curriculum and examination classes.

We are seeking an inspirational and suitably qualified Teacher of Food who is capable of teaching in all DT areas at Key Stage 3 and up to KS4 in Hospitality & Catering or other appropriate food course. We are a very popular subject and currently deliver the WJEC Level 1 / 2 qualification in Hospitality and Catering, which we deliver to 6 classes, and the WJEC Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition diploma at post-16.

You will be passionate about your subject, with high expectations for our students and aspirations of progression for yourself. In return, we can offer you enthusiastic students, a superb building, and excellent career development. We are a rural 11-18 comprehensive school, with excellent road links and spectacular views over rolling hills.

This is a permanent part time (ideally 0.4 to 0.6) post starting from September 2025. Please complete an application form, including a supporting statement or covering letter outlining how your qualities and experiences have prepared you for this role.

The closing date for applications is 09:00am Thursday 15th May, and interviews will be held the following week. We may interview suitable candidates throughout the advertised period and reserve the right to close the vacancy early and appoint before the deadline if we receive sufficient applications. You are encouraged to apply without delay, and we are looking forward to hearing from you!

Safeguarding Statement:

Rednock School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check and further pre-employment checks will be conducted in accordance with KCSIE. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children. Each school role involves regular contact with students and therefore you will receive safeguarding training as part of your role.
