Welcome to our school; Reigate Parish Church Primary School.

Everyone in our school works very hard every day to consistently deliver outstanding learning opportunities for all children, in order that our vision comes true that “all children and adults reach to achieve their best, rooted in the belief that God desires everyone to fulfil their capabilities.”

We hold children at the heart of everything we do.

What makes us different and a very special place is numerous (do come and visit us). Teachers know their children as individuals and plan lessons accordingly so in every lesson, all children make progress, whether it’s a maths, PE or an Art lesson.

Every year group have teaching assistants (TAs) who are there to help children learn. The TAs know the children well.

We have a very creative and engaging curriculum, and children tell us all the time that teachers make lessons very interesting.

We want all our children every year to make good attainment and progress in reading, writing and maths.

As a Church of England school our Christian distinctiveness and Christian vision are critical and they are woven into everything we do, the atmosphere we have in school and the relationships that exist between staff and children. We deliver high quality collective worship every day and teach excellent RE lessons. Our children have a really good understanding of Christianity and of the other main World religions and they talk with confidence about what they know.

The arts, humanities, sport, PSHE, computing and science are of equal importance to us as are the core subjects of reading, writing and maths. Teachers take great care planning these subjects and children make great progress and attainment.

We diligently pay great care to nurture, develop and help children with their self-confidence, resilience, tenacity and keenness to tackle a challenge.

We work in genuine partnership with our parents, the school governors execute their responsibilities with rigour and relationships in school are strong.

We are all proud to deliver an outstanding education, as identified by Ofsted in June 2019 and SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) in May 2018, to all the children who attend Reigate Parish.

Our Vision

The school's vision is for all children and adults to reach to achieve their best, rooted in the belief that God desires everyone to fulfil their capabilities.

The distinctive vision, values, and ethos of Reigate Parish Church Primary School is shaped by our Church of England faith and a desire to have God at the centre of all we are and do. Our vision fits our community because we know and serve our neighbourhood and for the reason that our locality needs us.

The vision, values and ethos of the school are demonstrated by key Bible verses that exemplify our key Christian values, which are integrated into the school's daily life and shared collective worship. The values include inclusivity, caring, trust, perseverance and understanding. Our desire is that all our children, by daily living out our Christian values, will leave being more responsible, engaged, adventurous, creative, and honest.

The school's vision is summarised in the key bible verse "love your neighbour as yourself" (Mark 12:31) which is Jesus’ second greatest commandment. The verse is important because it emphasises service, friendship, respect, kindness, and forgiveness.

Our "secrets of success" are practical tools to help children in their learning and they align with the Christian values, promoting qualities like honesty, concentration, pushing oneself, understanding others, and creativity.

Our values are derived from the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is sent to help all children and adults live their lives. We are deliberate in promoting them to everyone: love, joy, peace, self-control, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Overall, Reigate Parish Church Primary School aims to create an integrated and positive Church of England culture that embodies Christian values, fostering academic, emotional, and social fulfilment for both children and adults within the school community, where all flourish. The vision emphasises the school's Church of England identity, with a deep theological vision grounded in the Bible, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The ultimate goal is not only to have a positive impact on pupils, staff and the broader community by teaching Christian values and principles, but also embodying these in our shared life together.
