"A very warm welcome to RGS The Grange, and thank you for taking the time to visit our website. As you explore, you will get a taste of what makes RGS The Grange such a magical school.
RGS The Grange is a co-educational independent prep school for children aged 2 to 11. We are situated in a beautiful 50-acre site on the outskirts of Worcester. Children have vast outdoor space to explore, time to enjoy the fresh air, and encouragement to get muddy. Each of our children has the chance to shine. They can discover their gifts and convert these into real talent, as well as learn how to deal with challenges. All of our children have opportunities to compete, perform and be valued for who they are. Everyone is cherished at RGS The Grange."
"RGS The Grange is an award-winning school. Whether that is national success at Cricket, being recognised with a Kindness in Education award, reaching the finals of the Barnardos’ National Choral Competition, or simply the 60 scholarships and exhibitions to RGS Worcester awarded over the last five years ... "
"I am pleased that the hard work of children and staff is recognised externally with awards (and celebrated internally on our honours boards), but it is the word ‘fun’ that really makes me proud. It tells a story of happy children who love learning and have positive relationships with staff. It speaks of your child making the very best of this precious time and laying solid foundations for the future."
Mr Gareth Hughes - Headmaster
RGS The Grange offers Nursery and Prep School education for children aged 2-11. Rated by ISI inspectors as ‘Excellent in all areas’, the School is situated in a beautiful 50-acre site on the outskirts of Worcester.
We offer Senior School facilities and opportunities in a Prep School setting.
Our unerring focus on social and emotional well-being ensures your child gets the best out of our small classes, stimulating curriculum and stellar opportunities.
We offer a challenging syllabus, confident that we are equipping your child with the attributes to succeed: happiness, a sense of belonging, a love of learning, an aspiring mindset, an enquiring mind and the resilience to overcome obstacles along the way.
There’s a reason why pupils at RGS The Grange do so well: our philosophy that happy children succeed. We create a caring, secure, friendly and fun environment where your child can flourish and perform.
Embracing learning and challenges
From day one, we will teach your child to embrace every aspect of learning, to have a go at everything, to face challenges, to work with others, and to make discoveries about the world and the people around them.
We foster mutual respect between pupils and teachers through which kindness is modelled and resilience built.
The aim of the family of RGS Worcester schools is to provide an excellent all round education for children aged 2 – 18 years, supporting them in their passage to adulthood by developing character, intellect, physical and emotional well-being and cultural understanding within a supportive community.
The Schools and its staff aim to cultivate an ethos in which each pupil is cared for individually, valued equally and achieves their potential.

RGS The Grange is proud of its high academic standards, its pastoral care, and the wealth of Co-curricular opportunities. Key to this success are the staff that work here. We employ a wide range of staff including Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Early Years staff, Cleaners, Estates, Finance, IT, Human Resources, Technicians and many others across our Family of Schools.
We recruit staff of high calibre from a variety of sector backgrounds. A teaching qualification, whilst desirable, is not essential; we can and do provide full support for those who wish to become qualified teachers after appointment. People who work here will have a love of their subject and the ability to inspire and challenge able pupils. Our staff enjoy making an active contribution to co-curricular activities, both for the reward of the activity itself and because of the different dimension it gives to their relationship with their pupils.
