Rise Academy is looking for an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support in their Rising Starts provision. The successful applicant will support in the classroom and work as part of a team. Under the guidance of teachers, the successful candidates will be involved in working with individuals or small groups of children.
Salary: National Apprenticeship Wage £7.55 per hour, for 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am - 4.00pm, term time only (38 weeks per year).
Start date: Monday 1 September 2025
Duration: 18 Months

What you’ll do at work
• Support to implement learning activities working with individual or small groups of pupils
• Support to assist the development of varying skills that support pupils' learning
• Support in producing learning resources
• Support to assist in pupil supervision
• Support in monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs
• Reporting pupil progress to the teacher
• Work within the school's policy and procedures
• Working to the relevant apprenticeship standard and completing work in a timely manner

Desired qualifications
• GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) desirable
• GCSE or equivalent maths (Grade 4) desirable
• Apprentices who are 19 years or younger when starting the apprenticeship and who do not have the desirable GCSEs in English and Maths must be willing to complete Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths in the first 12 months of their apprenticeship.

Other requirements
Apprentices must be able to travel once a week from Rising Stars to Sirius Academy West, 296 Anlaby Park Road South, Hull, HU4 7JB, for their off-the-job training.
