We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a fixed-term basis initially to supervise whole classes during the absence of a class teacher. The post is term time only, 8:25am to 2:55pm. This is an opportunity for a confident, flexible, well-organised person to join our supportive cover teaching team.

Duties will include supervising students while they complete set work in the absence of the teacher and actively supporting their progress. The successful candidate will be educated to at least grade A*-C GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). A degree or equivalent qualification would be desirable. This role would ideally suit a graduate who is seeking some experience in working with young people in schools as a foundation for future teacher training applications.

We can offer a:

  • Competitive salary with membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Commitment to managing staff workload and wellbeing.
  • Friendly and supportive working environment.
  • Commitment to opportunities for your professional development.

We reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than the advertised date if we receive applications that meet the criteria.
