We are looking for a Home School Link Worker to provide vital early intervention and support for our families and students.

Home-school liaison is a child and parent-centred partnership that builds positive relationships, enabling improved attendance and behaviour by reducing external barriers to learning. The Home School Link Worker plays a significant role within the school community, developing strong partnerships with outside agencies and positive working relationships with families to enable effective support for students and their families. Any emerging difficulties can be tackled at an early stage with targeted interventions, guidance and support with an emphasis on creating an environment which promotes attendance and engagement with learning.

This multifaceted role combines outreach and on-site support. You will work directly with families in the community to improve school engagement while serving as a key member of our pastoral team within the Student Support hub.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, reliable and trustworthy person with excellent communication skills to join our supportive and dedicated pastoral team. You will need to be able to use judgement in receiving and dealing with sensitive information and have the resilience to deal with challenging situations involving child protection issues.

The successful candidate will ideally have some prior experience of working with children and young people and supporting families. A knowledge and understanding of the education sector or experience of working within a school environment would also be desirable.

The role is part time (4 days a week and term time only) and fixed-term for 3 months (May to July 2026).

We offer a competitive salary, a supportive and friendly working environment with amazing students and a range of benefits including opportunities for continued professional development, a cycle to work scheme, on site free parking, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, a staff wellbeing day per year and access to an Employee Assistance Programme and 24/7 virtual GP service.
