Post Title: Playworker in the after school club

Salary Grade: C (£27, 729 - £28,521) FTE Pro-rata to £13,213 - £13,590 depending on experience. Please note that as this post will commence part way through the academic year (1 September to 31 August) this salary will be adjusted to reflect the number of contracted days for the remainder of the academic year.

Hours: 20 hours a week (term time only) Monday - Friday 2:15-6:15pm

Start Date: September 2025

We’re launching a brand-new after school club at Robin Hood Primary and Nursery School — and we’re looking for a passionate, reliable and creative Playworker to help us shape and grow this exciting provision from the ground up.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children who is excited about building something new and supporting our pupils through engaging, meaningful play.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Helping set up and run a new after school club

Leading fun, inclusive and creative activities for children aged 3–11

Building strong, supportive relationships with children and families

Supporting the growth of the club through excellent provision and positive engagement

Working closely with school staff to ensure smooth and safe operations

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting

A positive, proactive and flexible attitude

Confidence to lead play activities and manage small groups

A commitment to high-quality care, safeguarding and child development

Energy and enthusiasm to help grow a new provision from the ground up
