Head of Learning
This role is a full-time position (1FTE) leading our Chippenham campus, with potential cross site working at our other campuses in Rowde and Trowbridge.
SALARY
L16– L20 dependent on experience (Salary range £64,225 -£70,733)

INTRODUCTION
The Head of Learning will support the Director of Learning and the Executive Headteacher in developing a shared vision, which inspires and motivates pupils, staff and all other members of the school community. This vision includes core educational values, moral purpose and is inclusive of all stakeholders’ beliefs and values.
THE ROLE
The Head of Learning will lead our Chippenham Campus, working closely with the Director of Learning and the Executive Headteacher to develop and implement a strategic view of the school and its community; analysing and planning its future needs to secure the school’s success and improvement, ensuring high quality teaching and learning and improved outcomes for all its pupils. They will take individual and collective professional responsibility for championing the school’s vision, values and mission by:
• Securing the school’s success and improvement, ensuring high quality teaching and learning, and improved outcomes for all its pupils.
• Providing strong leadership and effective organisation and management, seeking ways to continually improve the school’s organisational structures and functions, based on rigorous self-evaluation.

ABOUT US
Silverwood School is a maintained co-educational special school for pupils aged 4-19 years. We formed in September 2020 with campuses in Chippenham, Trowbridge and Rowde.
This is an exciting time to join Silverwood School as we are expanding our provision with a brand new building at our Rowde campus. The new building will have a wide variety of new classes and support areas including subject specialist rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and new sensory rooms; it is due to open in September 2024. Once the building at Rowde is complete there will be a programme of development and refurbishment at the Chippenham and Trowbridge campus.
