CASUAL – ZERO HOURS CONTRACT
(£9.81 per hour plus holiday plussage)
School Minibus Drivers (Trowbridge site)
Required to start ASAP
The role is to provide relief cover for contracted minibus drivers. The work includes transporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs to and from school.
You will be required to attend the routine maintenance of the allocated vehicle (i.e. oil, water and fuel etc.). To undertake routine checks and cleaning of the allocated vehicle ensuring its suitability for driving prior to all journeys. As required to drive minibuses to workshops for repairs and maintenance.
• General Vehicle Husbandry including installing and removing minibus seating and refuelling
• Other general driving/maintenance duties deemed appropriate
• Collect and drop off Passenger Assistants
As a minibus driver your work includes conveying pupils on to and from school, mornings and afternoons. Working alongside the passenger assistant providing personal and physical assistance as required during the course of the journeys and to appropriately supervise pupils during boarding/alighting from vehicles. Ensuring safety and security during the course of the journey. You will need to be a team player in working closely with others (including school staff) to assist pupils with complex needs.
Drivers must hold a minimum of a driver’s license category D or D1 or equivalent. All necessary training will be provided, including MiDAS. Opportunities to complete IAM driver training.
