Rutlish School is proud to consistently receive awards and commendations. The School was judged as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2017.  In April 2022 Ofsted carried out a Section 8 inspection and confirmed there had been no change to the overall judgement of Outstanding.

In 2019, our results confirmed that we are among the highest performing non-selective secondary schools in the country, receiving four awards for being in the top 10% nationally for attainment and for being in DfE Band 1 for student progress at Key Stage 4. The School was also recognised for being in the top 10% nationally for student attainment in academic subjects and achieving significantly higher than national average student progress in applied general subjects at Key Stage 5.

Place2Be

As well as offering a support service to our students Place2Be offer a staff wellbeing service. Conversations are confidential and do not have to be work related. They are available for guidance, support, sound boarding or simply a welcoming and safe space to collect your thoughts.

iHasco

All staff have access to iHasco mental health training. 

Teach Wimbledon’s secondary training is administered through a coalition of six schools in the Wimbledon area, one of which is Rutlish. We lead the provision of training opportunities for aspiring teachers in English, Maths, Science, History and Geography through the Schools Direct programme. An innovative and progressive approach based on effective pedagogical understanding provides the successful candidates with a plethora of educational opportunities, all underpinned by outstanding and experienced mentoring.
