Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust (RWBAT) was set up as a Multi Academy Trust in May 2017. In establishing RWBAT, we committed to offering strategic leadership and management expertise to facilitate collaboration and commitment leading to high levels of school improvement opportunities in each Academy within RWBAT.

RWBAT became Ascend Learning Trust in September 2022 to better reflect our growing Trust.

Our roles in leading Ascend Learning Trust are based on the simple premise of seeking to maximise the life chances of every pupil within the Trust. We believe this can be achieved by sharing leadership principles and management processes through support and challenge. We ensure staff and pupils are equipped to deliver the highest levels of performance in each Academy which leads to high levels of attainment and achievement across the Trust.
