Key Worker Apprentice
Required for: September 2021
Salary Range: £5.10 per hour
Actual Salary: £7,711 per annum
Working hours: Mon-Fri 08:15-15:45, 35 hours per week, Term Time Only.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within a purpose-built Nursery which is on the site of the Wellington Eagles Primary Academy in Ludgershall. The Nest is registered for 28 children between the ages of 2 – 5 years and will be accepting government funded sessions. Our opening times will be 8.30am – 15:30pm daily term time only.
Duties will include: Assisting with the planning of the curriculum; supporting the ethos of The Nest and to create a welcoming and family friendly environment; helping set up for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session; acting as a keyworker to a group of children liaising closely with carers/parents and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met; providing learning opportunities for children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation; keeping up to date with observation and record keeping of the children you are a keyworker to; writing a transfer record for each keyworker child when they leave the setting; completing the 2 year old assessment check. The weekly working pattern is Mon-Fri 08:15-15:45. On occasions you might be required to working across the two sites.
The successful applicant will attend Wiltshire college 1 day per week and gain a level 3 qualification.
